Fluidity Network:
Decentralizing Everything

Fluidity is a revolutionary peer-to-peer network that uses innovative Dropsea technology as an alternative to Blockchain. Dropsea allows for faster commands and transactions on the network. The Fluidity Dropsea powers FluiDApps, FluiDWeb, FluiDStorage, FluiDex, FluiDMarket, FluID, and a limitless number of sideseas, allowing for others to deploy their own Dropseas on the Fluidity backbone. Developers can code FluiDapps and Dropseas in the Hydrogenesis programming language.

With Fluidity, the possibilities are endless.

Dropsea

Fluidity uses innovative Dropsea technology as an alternative to Blockchain. Dropsea allows for faster transactions and commands to be carried out on the network. In a dropsea, drops (represented by circles on the graph) are connected in a lattice structure, where each column is called a wave. Each drop contains Hydrogenesis code, the hash of the previous reward block, and two hashes from drops from the previous wave. The previous drops are selected according to an algorithm that takes the hash of the Hydrogenesis code, the hash of the previous wave's reward block, and the number of drops in the previous wave as parameters. If there are fewer than two previous drops, as many hashes are included as possible. Each reward drop contains all the drop hashes from the wave and reward distribution code.

Roadmap

Code Website

The website is the main method we will use to distribute official information, resources, and downloads pertaining to the Fluidity Network, so it is imperative that we complete this step early.

Code Hydrogenesis Interpreter & Write Documentation

The Hydrogenesis interpreter must be created before the wallet. Since all drops on the Dropsea are commands, node participants will need an interpreter built-in to the node application to validate and process commands and transactions on the network.

Code Node + Wallet CLI Application and Code the Facilitator

The CLI application will be the fastest to program, so we can quickly start testing Fluidity on a invite-only Testnet. The Facilitator will be run on a central server and will give a final sign-off after node consensus during the early stages of the Fluidity Network. After the network grows large enough, we will gradually phase out the Facilitator to fully decentralize the network.

Launch Invite-only Testnet and FNS (Fluidity Name System)

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas blandit fringilla egestas. Ut aliquam quam ut mi tempor pulvinar. Donec mattis sed libero nec bibendum. Mauris eget aliquet velit. Nullam placerat ante tortor, ut aliquet massa eleifend eget. Nulla venenatis efficitur fringilla. Sed efficitur nibh ac diam sollicitudin, dictum scelerisque nulla mollis.

We will deploy the Fluditiy Name System, which will be used only for creating readable wallet address pointers. At a later date, when the FluiDWeb is deployed, FNS will be used on the FluiDWeb as well. FNS will allow for the acquisition of shortened names through staking Flow coins.

Code Droplet Wallet (core currency features only) & Open Testnet to the Public

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas blandit fringilla egestas. Ut aliquam quam ut mi tempor pulvinar. Donec mattis sed libero nec bibendum. Mauris eget aliquet velit. Nullam placerat ante tortor, ut aliquet massa eleifend eget. Nulla venenatis efficitur fringilla. Sed efficitur nibh ac diam sollicitudin, dictum scelerisque nulla mollis.

Add Node and Staking/Delegating features to Droplet Wallet

The node interface will include node customization features, earnings, delegation statistics, ranking, percentage, and more. The staking/delegating interface will allow users to stake and/or delegate their Flow to masternodes and validators, view and calculate earnings, and see the most profitable staking/delegating options.

Mainnet Reboot & Mainnet Launch

On the wave when the reboot is announced, the Facilitator will sign off on the Core Team's creation of a few sideseas (FluiDWeb, FluiDStorage, FluiDex, FluiDMarket, and FluID) and mark them as official Fluidity sidechains. Additionally, nodes will update to add Mainnet address pointers to all FNS entries after transactions to new addresses. At the Mainnet Reboot wave, all nodes and wallets will need be on the Mainnet version. Scribe nodes will have to store a new version of the Dropsea starting with just the Mainnet genesis wave. The Mainnet genesis wave will not contain any premined coins. After updating Droplet Wallet, users will only be able to send coins from a Testnet wallet, not receive them. Users will be instructed to create a Mainnet wallet in the Droplet Wallet application and transfer all their assets to their new wallet. Nodes will no longer allow transactions to Testnet addresses, and scribes will no longer accept new waves to the Testnet ledger. Programmatically, the Facilitator signoff will gradually have a smaller weight in consensus until the network is fully decentralized.
